Delete your account
How to delete your MatchUp account and associated data.
Directly in the app
- Open your profile in MatchUp.
- Go to Settings and choose Delete account.
- Confirm that you want to delete your account.
Or by email
Alternatively, request deletion by emailing office@matchupsports.app from your registered address. We process the request within one month.
What gets deleted
- Account and login data, email address, date of birth
- Profile details and profile picture
- Chat messages as well as location and check-in data
- Blocks you set
- Consents given and push tokens
What remains in anonymised form
So that your opponents’ game history stays complete, match results are not deleted but anonymised: the link to you is removed and the result remains without personal reference. If one of your reports led to a measure, it is kept — without the link to you — for as long as the person concerned can challenge it. Individual data may also be retained where statutory retention periods require it. Backups are overwritten within 30 days.
