Terms of Service

These terms apply to your use of the MatchUp website and mobile app. The operator is Bridge2Things Automation Process GmbH, Annagasse 6, 3. Stock, 1010 Wien, Österreich (office@matchupsports.app). By using the service you agree to these terms.

MatchUp is operated by Bridge2Things Automation Process GmbH. In addition to these Terms of Service, its General Terms and Conditions apply, available at bridge2things.at/legal. Where the two conflict, these Terms of Service prevail for your use of the MatchUp website and app.

MatchUp provides a platform for players to find each other, see places to play on a map and arrange matches. The service is currently free and ad-free. There is no legal claim to availability.

Some features require an account. The minimum age is 16. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Information provided must be truthful. One account per person is permitted; duplicate accounts may be suspended.

• No insults, harassment or discrimination.
• No fake accounts or manipulated match results.
• No unlawful, offensive or disruptive content.
• Report match results honestly and accurately.
• Show up to accepted matches or cancel in good time.
• Respect venues and fellow players.

What that means in detail — and what follows discrimination, bullying or harassment — is set out in the Code of Conduct.

After a confirmed match you can report a no-show, unsportsmanlike conduct or a false result report; anything involving people goes to office@matchupsports.app. Every report is reviewed by a human being, not solely by automated means. If it checks out, the person reported is blocked from matchmaking for a set period or their account is closed — which of the two depends on how serious it is. You can appeal any measure at any time at office@matchupsports.app.

Each user is responsible for the content they submit (e.g. profile details, profile picture, messages). You retain the rights to your content and grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to store, display and distribute it within the service.

You can report content you consider illegal at any time via the reporting function in the app or by email to office@matchupsports.app (Art. 16 of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 — DSA). Please describe as precisely as possible what the issue is and where the content can be found, and provide a way to contact you. We confirm receipt, review the report promptly and diligently, and inform you of our decision together with a statement of reasons. We may suspend the handling of abusive or manifestly unfounded reports after a prior warning.

If we remove content, restrict its visibility or suspend an account, we notify the person concerned and give reasons (Art. 17 DSA). You may complain about any such decision within six months at office@matchupsports.app; the review is carried out by a human and not solely by automated means (Art. 20 DSA). Independently of this, you may turn to an out-of-court dispute settlement body under Art. 21 DSA or to the courts.

Use is at your own risk. Uninterrupted availability is not guaranteed. We are liable only for intent and gross negligence and as required by mandatory statutory provisions. We accept no liability for disputes between players or for injuries or damage during a match — matches take place outside our sphere of control.

You may delete your account at any time in the app under “Profile → Settings → Delete account”. We may restrict or end your use in the event of breaches of these terms; you will be informed in accordance with the “Moderation decisions & complaints” section. Which data is retained after deletion is set out in the Privacy Policy.

We may amend these terms. We will notify you of material changes in the app or by email with reasonable notice; unless you object, continued use constitutes acceptance.

Austrian law applies, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. For consumers, the mandatory law of their country of residence additionally applies, and they may sue and be sued at their place of residence. Otherwise, to the extent legally permissible, the place of jurisdiction is Vienna.
